Fundraising Milestones and Rewards

Check out our fundraising levels to celebrate and reward the incredible impact our riders make for the BBC Scholarship Fund. The more you raise, the more you earn—and every dollar helps Colorado students access a CU °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï education. All fundraising goals must be met by Sept. 1, 2027 in order to earn the rewards below:

Level 1 - Raise $50+

Level 2 - Raise $100+

2027 reward: Everything above, plus…(coming soon)

Level 3 - Raise $250+

2027 reward: Everything above, plus (coming soon)

Level 4 - Raise $500+

2027 reward: Everything above, plus the 2027 BBC short‑sleeve cycling jersey: Ride in style with this year’s official jersey - designed just for the Buffalo Bicycle Classic.

Level 5 - Raise $1,000+

2027 reward: Everything above, plus…you'll complete your kit with shorts, socks and arm warmers...and an invitation to the 2027 Post‑Ride Scholar Reception: Meet the students whose lives you’re helping change and celebrate your impact.

Steps on How to Be a Successful Fundraiser

1. Create Your BBC Fundraising Page
Go to our . Select “Become a Fundraiser†and follow the steps to set up your personal fundraising page.

2. Personalize Your Page
Make your page your own!

  • Add a photo of yourself.
  • Share your story and explain why you want to raise money for the BBC Scholarship Fund, which helps students attend CU °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï.
  • Tell people why this cause matters to you and what your personal connection is.

Your page already includes information about the BBC Scholarship Fund, including:

  • Celebrating its 25th year
  • Supporting 450+ scholars
  • Raising over $4.3 million

You’ll also receive a personal fundraising link you can easily share with family and friends.

3. Make the First Donation
Consider making a donation to your own page. It shows your commitment and helps kick off your fundraising momentum—the fundraising has officially begun!

4. Reach Out to 5–10 Friends and Family
Start with your inner circle.

  • Send individual emails or messages.
  • Keep them short, personal, and genuine.
  • Include the link to your fundraising page (from RunSignup).
  • Remember: they haven’t been asked yet, and many people are happy to say yes.

Every donation—no matter the amount—makes a difference.

5. Follow Up and Say Thank You
Thank everyone who donates and let them know how much you appreciate their support. Set a fundraising goal, track your progress, and remember: every dollar brings you closer to helping a student succeed at CU °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï.
