The SPIKE Center serves as an accelerator for sustainability education at CU °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï, seeking to grow opportunities for students to incorporate sustainability into their education, support faculty in their teaching of sustainability, grow experiential learning, and improve outcomes for students.Ìý
The SPIKE Center's working definition of sustainability:
We define sustainability as the capacity to meet the needs and well-being of current and future generations by drawing on diverse knowledge systems to integrate environmental and ecological stewardship, including the fostering of socioeconomic, cultural, health, equity and justice impacts.
The SPIKE Center supports students studying sustainability at CU °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï and works with students to envision the future of sustainability education.ÌýÌý
The SPIKE Center offers support and training to faculty who teach sustainability and are collaborating with faculty to imagine future sustainability curriculum.
