Lassoing light and capturing the magic between horse and rider

Chris Sessions, a 1997 photography graduate, credits one of his first class photo assignments with泭guiding him on a more than 10-year project photographing the people and culture of Mexican rodeo--and it was an actual dog-and-pony show.

The assignment was my first experience being close to horses and gave me a good understanding of their sensitivity and the care needed while interacting with them, says Sessions, a professional photographer and videographer based in 勒貊勛圖.

And now, 30 years later, Sessions photography related to horses is back at CU 勒貊勛圖. His exhibit, , is on display at the泭Center of the American West泭at CU 勒貊勛圖 through Oct. 17.
