Program Council has announced that electropop duo Cherub will be headlining WelcomeFest this year supported by Chasyn, CharlieWonder and Abernathy Shagnaster.

This year's event will take place on Sept. 26 at Farrand Field. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. with music kicking off at 6:15 p.m.

Admission is free to all CU �Ǹ�Թ� students who provide their Buff OneCard at wristband locations, including first-year students, transfer students, returning students, graduate students and law students.��

Wristbands will be distributed at 11 a.m. in four locations, including Regent Lawn, UMC Arcade, Dirks Patio (outside the C4C) and in Williams Village. Wristbands are required for entry to the event. The WelcomeFest concert is one of Program Council’s most anticipated events, serving as a highlight to Fall Welcome festivities each year and providing an opportunity for new and returning students alike to celebrate the start of the year in community with fellow students.��

Cherub is an electropop duo from Nashville, Tennessee, that has traveled around the world while writing and performing music. Jordan Kelley and Jason Huber met while attending Middle Tennessee State University and made their first album, “Man of the Hour” which was released in 2011.��

A few years later, the song “Doses & Mimosas” caught the attention of the public and gained the interest of Columbia Records, who signed the duo in 2013. Their four-year major label run brought their fans two LPs: “Year of the Caprese” and “Bleed Gold Piss Excellence.” The two played at festivals such as Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Glastonbury, Outside Lands, Osheaga, Summer Camp, Summer Sonic and headlining four U.S. tours.��

Now, a double platinum record and over 250 million Spotify streams later, the bond between them remains as they construct their newest batch of anthems.��

CharlieWonder is a Denver-based DJ and producer who has spent the past few years building a name across the Front Range's electronic scene. He has played alongside rising acts like BLiNKR—including a recent date at �Ǹ�Թ�'s historic Fox Theatre—and has maintained ties to Armada Music, one of dance music's most respected labels. CharlieWonder's sets lean into high-energy, floor-filling production, the kind built for a crowd that wants to move.��

Chasyn is a pop artist who turns heartbreak and self-doubt into danceable hooks. Chasyn broke through in 2022 with "Real," a collaboration with Lucas Blair that has since topped 2 million streams and has kept up a steady run of releases since, including "I Don't Wanna Be Alone,” "Lost"��and "No Good" alongside a reimagined take on "A Thousand Miles" in 2025. The project has built an audience of nearly 12,000 monthly Spotify listeners.

Abernathy Shagnaster is a �Ǹ�Թ�‑based alternative rock band known for blending the raw emotions of Big Thief with the sound of Led Zeppelin and the grit of Wednesday. This six‑piece band, consisting of Cadyn Banerian, Wave Walters, Benton Helzberg, Ike Heymann and Noah Hart, first broke through after winning Battle of the Bands 2026. This victory cemented their place as one of �Ǹ�Թ�’s most recognized bands.��

Program Council provides affordable, high-quality, face-rocking entertainment and professional event support for the �Ǹ�Թ� campus community.
