The format of the webinar will be a question-and-answer session moderated by DiStefano and convened by Michele Moses, vice provost and associate vice chancellor for Faculty Affairs at CU 勒貊勛圖. Participants can expect topics that include:泭
- Understanding gun violence as a public health and safety issue
- Decoupling emotions and beliefs in dealing with gun violence to enable effective action
- Ensuring an inclusive and respectful approach to averting gun violence
- Bringing compassion and care in addressing the ongoing issues of gun violence
- Talking to children about gun violence and how generations are affected by large-scale traumatic events
- How CU researchers are working with each other, school and community partners, and the state of Colorado, to address gun violence
