What does it mean to be a Buff?��

Being a Buff means jumping into new experiences, meeting great people, and figuring out who I want to be by using the education and opportunities CU �Ǹ�Թ� has given me to develop as a leader, so I can give back and make positive change on campus and after I graduate.��

What does it mean to be a Buff?��

To me, being a Buff is about showing up and being there for the community and the people around me. It’s definitely more than just wearing black and gold on game days. Being a Buff means creating an open and welcoming environment, helping others to feel a sense of belonging and taking advantage of the endless opportunities that CU has to offer by being a little bolder and putting yourself out there. Whether that’s through leadership, service or just making someone new feel welcome, those little things are what being a Buff is all about.��

What does it mean to be a Buff?��

To me, being a Buff means standing shoulder to shoulder with people who care deeply about CU and one another. As a fifth-generation Coloradan and the 23rd member of my family to attend CU �Ǹ�Թ�, this community has always been part of my story. During my time here, I have learned that being a Buff is about more than tradition. It means showing up, welcoming others, taking pride in our community, and helping make it better. I am grateful to carry forward my family’s connection to CU while creating my own path, relationships and memories here.��

What does it mean to be a Buff?��

Being a Buff has provided me with an immense amount of opportunity and pride. I came onto this campus in hopes of being as involved as possible and CU made that feasible with the various amounts of organizations that encourage students to lead and support. I made CU my second home and strive to embody the values this school is implemented on to make my experience most valuable, and to ensure that I’m providing incoming students with the most welcoming and encouraging environment possible. Being a buff is something I will forever cherish; I hope to continue to grow more connected with this campus in the future to watch next generations flourish and build upon this beautiful community.����

What does it mean to be a Buff?��

To me, being a Buff means embracing everything CU has to offer with spirit, curiosity and an open mind. It means saying yes to new opportunities, stepping outside of your comfort zone and being willing to grow through new experiences, connections and challenges.��

What does it mean to be a Buff?

To me, being a Buff means contributing positively to the student body and the broader community. It means leaving �Ǹ�Թ� a better place than I found it and making a meaningful impact during my time at CU. ��

What does it mean to be a Buff?��

To me, being a Buff means being proud of the community you are a part of while finding ways to make that community better. CU �Ǹ�Թ� has given me multiple opportunities to grow academically, professionally, and personally, but some of my most meaningful experiences have come from the relationships I have built with other students. Being a Buff means supporting the people around you, getting involved, and taking advantage of the opportunities that make CU �Ǹ�Թ� such a special place. I also believe being a Buff extends beyond campus. It means taking the experiences and values I’ve gained at CU �Ǹ�Թ� with me and representing the university wherever life takes me.��

What does it mean to be a Buff?��

For me, being a Buff is all about finding your people and finding yourself. I came to CU because I love Colorado and I wanted to follow in the footsteps of my mom and grandpa, and I’m so glad I did. I’ve made friends, found communities, and had unforgettable experiences in �Ǹ�Թ�, and now I can’t imagine myself anywhere else. ��

What does it mean to be a Buff?��

I believe being a Buff is simply about treating people with respect—or, as cliché as it sounds, following the Golden Rule. Being on a college campus can sometimes feel intimidating, and it’s easy to wonder, “Do I even belong here?” For me, being a Buff means helping answer that question for someone else with a simple “yes.” CU �Ǹ�Թ� is a huge campus with thousands of people living completely different lives, so sometimes the smallest things can make the biggest difference. Smiling, saying hi, remembering a small detail about someone, or simply showing up can make someone feel noticed and welcomed. I’m not saying you need to change the world in five seconds or donate your life savings to charity.  Sometimes, simply being there for people and doing the little things is enough. To me, being a Buff means helping create a community where people feel like they belong and can be their true authentic selves within that community. ��

What does it mean to be a Buff?��

Being a Buff, to me, is having pride in what you do. Not just when it’s easy or when people are watching. Pride is the work nobody sees: the early mornings, the empty rooms, the setup before anyone arrives. It’s doing the small thing right because the people around you are counting on it.��

That’s the standard here. You take what you’re given and you make it worth something. You show up for each other before you’re asked to, and you do your part well, whatever the size of it. We surround ourselves with people who are the best at what they do, because that’s how we push each other to be the best versions of ourselves. That’s what I’m proud of. That's what it means to me to be a Buff. SKO BUFFS!��
