Lori Call serves as CU °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï’s associate vice chancellor for local government and community engagement, working to strengthen the university’s relationship with the city of °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï, °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï County and stakeholders across the region. At CU °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï, Call is responsible for identifying opportunities to collaborate with the city and surrounding communities and developing long-term, positive relationships with community, business and government leaders. She serves as the university’s primary liaison with the °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï City Council, the city manager’s office and the °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï County commissioners. She has been involved with town/gown initiatives including the Hill Ambassador Program, Community Scholars internship program, CU Night in Downtown °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï, Civic Engagement Fair and other programs. Call brings more than 20 years of local government and business leadership experience to this role. Prior to joining CU, Call worked at the °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï Chamber, serving as senior director of policy and transportation. For the chamber—the second-largest community chamber in Colorado—she led a policy team that provided strategic direction on a broad range of local, regional and national issues. Call earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications and public relations from CU °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï and a master’s in business administration and marketing from CU Denver. Previously, she served as a director of communications and in other staff roles for the Leeds School of Business over a 10-year period and as a strategic communicator and community engagement lead for Kaiser Permanente for 15 years.
