Iranian citizens: Impact of suspension of General License G
The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control issued on Aug. 24, 2026, indefinitely suspending of the Iranian transactions and sanctions regulations.

This suspension does not impact Iranian citizens who are in the United States maintaining a valid U.S. immigration status, such as F, H, and J visa holders, as long as they only engage in activities allowed under their visa status.
