Graduation Deadlines

Oct. 1 (Final Deadline)

​Master's students who have not already done so must submit to the Graduate School a . Applications follow a workflow process and must be approved by the academic department before they are directed to the Graduate School.

Oct. 1

Graduate students must apply online to graduate t����dzܲ���  on the “apply for graduation” card in order to have the degree awarded in December. This is required even though there is no university-wide ceremony. PhD students must enter their dissertation title as part of the online graduation application; you may update the title through the portal until this date. This title will appear on your transcript after your degree is awarded. ��

This session, offered as part of National Postdoc Appreciation Week, discusses IDPs, which are used in many career stages and disciplines as a self-defined roadmap that outlines short- and long-term goals and the actionable steps to achieve them. This framework is often required in NSF proposals and is transferable to all disciplines. IDP resources can be referenced on the Postdoctoral Affairs website in advance. GradCO Consortium's Professional Development Series:

This GradCO workshop, offered as part of National Postdoc Appreciation Week, gives participants a chance to develop a strategic approach to funding success by exploring why funding opportunities exist, how to identify the right sources, and how to align research goals with sponsor priorities. You’ve probably heard that more than half of workers get hired thanks to a referral. But how can you make authentic connections to people in your target career field? Enter the Informational Interview, an essential tool for learning more about careers and building your network. In this GradCO workshop hosted by CU Anschutz, you will learn how to identify relevant contacts, prepare for productive informational interviews, and translate what you learn into concrete next steps, including reaching out to request your first interview.��

This GradCO workshop, hosted by the University of Northern Colorado, offers a welcoming space to learn more about implicit bias and how to become a better ally to marginalized groups, reflect, and how to take meaningful action toward a more equitable future.

Ready to take your research communication skills to the next level? Join this year’s 3MT competition! This information session will discuss what 3MT is and what participating involves, including the competition timeline and time commitment and the workshops and training you’ll receive to prepare you for the competition, and how 3MT can strengthen skills that support your academic and professional success.

Eligibility to participate in 3MT®: The training and competition is open to CU �Ǹ�Թ� doctoral students who have advanced, or will advance, to candidacy by Jan. 1, 2027, and who will be enrolled in Spring 2027 and graduating May 2027 or later. No prior presentation experience is necessary—the training is designed to help you build your skills and confidence along the way.��

This GradCO presentation, hosted by the University of Northern Colorado, draws on psychology, education, dystopian literature and observations from schools to explore a simple question: How do we remain fully human in systems that often encourage us not to be? Participants will leave with a collection of practical insights and enduring principles for navigating technology, uncertainty, leadership, relationships and professional life in a rapidly changing world.��

What if “Impostor Syndrome” is simply a label for a much more complex experience? Join Leslie Blood for a master class in confidence and agency that moves beyond trying to “overcome” or “manage” Impostor Syndrome. Explore why academia can be a breeding ground for self-doubt and learn to reframe failure, embrace discomfort, and build greater confidence and resilience.��

Inclusive Research Mentoring (CIMER):

Diverse perspectives enrich mentoring relationships but also bring unique challenges. This session explores how to recognize, reflect on and engage with difference to create professional, inclusive and effective mentoring environments for both mentors and mentees. We will also address the growing mental health pressures students face and clarify mentors’ roles and boundaries.��
