Students in the Design Your Path LLC areÌýrequiredÌýand will be automatically enrolled in two, 1-credit courses during their first semester: FYXP 1500 and FYXP 2200. While FYXP 1500 is notÌýrequired, students who have completed this course haveÌýshown themselvesÌýto be more successful during their first year on campusÌýand report it being a valuable first-semester experience.ÌýÌý

FYXP 1500: First Year Success Seminar

Designed as an “accountability partnerâ€� to support first-year students in a successful transition toÌýcollege, studentsÌýin FYXP 1500Ìýcomplete weekly missions that incentivize them to utilizeÌýcampus resources, practice academicÌýskillsÌýand behaviors,Ìýand productively reflect on their habits during first semester. Students can expect toÌýallocateÌýupÌýto 1 hour of work each week on a variety of tasks that will get them exploring campus with purpose.ÌýThisÌýcourse is online andÌýasynchronous andÌýsuccessful completion gives students 1 elective credit hour.ÌýÌý

FYXP 2200: Portrait of an Explorer

PortraitÌýof an ExplorerÌýis based on the premise that when students are empowered, connected, impactful,Ìýand thriving, they are successful academically and personally. This course challenges students to broaden their scope on the purpose of college to include not only career readiness, but how to notice,Ìýidentify, and replicate experiences that bring them meaning.ÌýThrough this course, living learning community residents will build relationshipsÌýwith peers, student mentors, and CU instructors who will truly know them. Learning experiences areÌýinteractive,Ìýhands-on,Ìýand help studentsÌýclarify and articulateÌýtheirÌý"whyâ€� for being in college.ÌýThis course is only offered in the fall semester to residents within the Design Your PathÌýLLCÌýand enrollment isÌýrequiredÌýfor LLC participation.ÌýThis course isÌýtaughtÌýin-person weekly and successful completion gives students 1 elective credit hour.ÌýÌý
