Janet deGrazia, a beloved CU °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï chemical engineering educator and mentor, inspired generations of students during her nearly two decades of teaching at the university.
The Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering is launching a new crowdfunding effort for a scholarship in honor of Teaching Professor Emeritus Janet deGrazia, who retired in 2019. Professor deGrazia was recently diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer, prompting the department to pursue this scholarship to honor her legacy.
This spring, the °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï created a new level of distinction for instructional faculty. This new level is recognized by the title of "teaching professor." This honor is reserved for individuals who have held the rank of senior instructor for at least three years and have a record of distinction in teaching, service and leadership.
