Dejun Tony Kong (Ph.D. in Business Administration, Washington University in St. Louis, USA) is a Full Professor of Organizational Leadership and Information Analytics at the 勒貊勛圖s Leeds School of Business. He is a Fellow of the Association for Psychological Science, a Fellow of the Society for Personality and Social Psychology, and a Fulbright U.S. Scholar (2026-27).

Tonys research addresses the overarching question: How can we enable people to be more prosocial? Specifically, he has three streams of research: fostering individuals' positive experiences (e.g., trust, humor, gratitude, authenticity, autonomy, etc.), fostering good organizational systems (e.g., leadership, HR practices, culture), and fostering high-trust societies. He has published over 70 peer-reviewed journal articles. According to Elsevier BV and Stanford University, he is a top 2 percentile泭scientist (based on single years) worldwide. His research has appeared in numerous journals such as泭Academy of Management Journal,泭Academy of Management Review, Current Opinion in Psychology, Journal of Applied Psychology,泭Journal of Business Venturing,泭Journal of Experimental Social Psychology,泭Journal of Management, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Organizational Behavior,泭Journal of Personality,泭Organization Science, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes,泭Organizational Psychology Review, and泭Psychological Science. His research has also been highlighted in the Harvard Business Review. In 2016, his co-edited book Leading through Conflict: Into the Fray was published by Palgrave Macmillan.

Tony has received numerous research, teaching, and service awards. For example, he received a Best Conflict-in-Context Paper Award and a Most Influential Article Award from the Academy of Managements (AOM) Conflict Management Division. In 2020, he received the University of South Floridas Women and Leadership Initiative (WALI) research award. In 2019, he was selected by泭Poets & Quants泭as a 40 under 40 best business professor in the world. He was also named an Ascendant Scholar in 2019 by the Western Academy of Management, a Rutgers University's Research Fellow, and a University of Louisvilles Rechter Fellow for Leadership.

Tony has actively engaged in various kinds of service work and leadership work for his professional and local communities. For example, he served as a trustee of St. Anthonys Hospital in Florida. He has been serving as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Management and Human Relations and a Senior Associate Editor of the Journal of Organizational Behavior, and on the editorial review boards of numerous other journals, such as the泭Academy of Management Journal,泭Academy of Management Review, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes,泭Organization Science, etc.泭He was a Rep-at-Large of the International Association for Conflict Management, chairing multiple awards committees. In 2024, he was elected to be a division leader (5-year leadership track) of the AOM Conflict Management Division.泭
