The Hoeffer Lab investigates the cellular and molecular basis for neurological disorder and neurodegenerative disease. They develop new animal models and moledular imaging techniques to understand conditions such as sleep disorders in Down syndrome, synaptic plasticity and memory decline in aging, and molecular drivers of Alzheimer's disease and ALS-FTD.
